He worked as Junior resident (2011-June 2013), Senior resident (July 2013-2015), Chief resident (2016) at the Department of Neurosurgery and Gamma knife at AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr Kothiwala has obtained training from the best neurosurgeons of the country with exposure to modern technology. He did Clinical externship at GB pant hospital for endovascular neurosurgery.
